Mr. Everistus
Kang(Partner) is of Cameroonian nationality born in the mid sixties and
married with three children. He did a Bachelor of laws(LLB) at the University
of Yaounde-Cameroon(1987-1990).Did an LLM-Coursework in Commercial and
Corporate Law at the Ahmadu Bello University at Zaria-Nigeria(1992-1994) Worked
as in-house counsel for Tony Anthony & Sons Holdings – a commodities export
firm. Joined the Shafack & Ndongla Law(Honesty Chambers) in Douala as a
paralegal in 1996 and then got admitted into the Cameroon Bar Association in
1998.He found the Bame Kang & Co Law Firm in 2000. In his constant quest
for legal knowledge and perspective, he pursued online courses with the UN
Institute for training and research(UNITA) and obtained
qualifications(certificates) in Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution,
Debt Rescheduling with the Paris Club, and Negotiation of Financial
Transactions(functioning of world bank and sister institutions, Capital Market
Development and Regulation(2004-2005).He further pursued and obtained a course
work professional certificate with the African Intellectual Property
Organization(OAPI) from its Yaounde-Cameroon headquarters’ training centre in
2007. Everistus speaks and writes good English and French and is affiliated
with, and has written a series of articles featuring in Corporate UK Magazine,
International law office, The Post(Cameroonian weekly) West African Maritime
Law Practitioners and Martindale.com.
He
is the law firm`s senior partner and runs the firm`s domain and intellectual
property, aviation, mining, information and communication technology(telecommunications),international
trade and documentary sales, maritime law areas.
Mr. Carlson Ndam
Agwo,(Partner) is
a Cameroonian born in the North West Region of Cameroon . He is a graduate of
the University of Yaounde 2 , Soa (LLB Hons 2004) and the Nigerian Law
School oat Abuja (Qualifying Certificate as Barrister at Law 2009). Mr.
Ndam was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2009 and to the Cameroon Bar Association
in 2010. His areas of focus are, Debt Recovery, Corporate and Commercial
litigation, Legal Due Diligence, Labour Disputes, and Real Estate.
Mr. Jean Jacques Takoussap(Associate) is Cameroonian by birth and
graduate of the Douala University with an LLB in French Civil law in 1995.He
further obtained post graduate diploma in Commercial law from Douala University
in 1997. He joined the Ndongla & Shafack Law Firm in 1998 and then Bame
Kang & Co in 2002. He heads the Commercial and Corporate law advisory
department of the firm with key focus on commercial arbitration, banking and
finance, insurance, contract law and project finance.
Mr. Hilaire Kuimo(Associate)is a Cameroonian by birth and
nationality. He is a graduate of UPSALA College in East Orange-New Jersey in
the USA with a BSC in economics in 1990. In 1992,he obtained an MSC in
accounting at the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania. He worked as a
Research Assistant in Economic and Fiscal Policy Studies with Dr Allen H
Meltzer(the John Ohlin Professor of Economics at Carnegie Mellon University) at
American Enterprise Institute. In charge of data collection necessary for
conducting research on Federal government fiscal policy objectives. In 1992, he
gave courses in economics as teaching assistant to freshmen. In the years
1996-1997,he worked with SGS(Multinational firm of Assayers, custom auditors
and quality control) as chief economist at the office of economic affairs and
auditor of the customs and duties securisation program recommended by the IMF.
He further worked with the American School of Douala as accountant and social
studies teacher, manager of disbursements and procurement. He set up Delta
Consulting(a tax advise and consultancy) in 1998 and later joined Bame Kang
& as an associate in charge of general tax law and litigation, mining
tax, oil and gas tax and corporate tax matters.
Mr. Peter Ngwa(Associate) is a Cameroonian national and an
erstwhile senior inspector of maritime Navigation with the Department of
Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Transport Cameroon. He holds an LLB(Hons)
in English
Private
Law from the University of Yaounde Cameroon obtained in 1990 and a Diploma in
PORT and SHIPPING MANAGEMENT from the Regional Maritime Universiyy Accra GHANA
more than

years ago.
He
is very much experienced in maritime Transport matters with an insightful
knowledge in the contract of Carriage of Goods by Sea, Maritime
Casualty Investigation, Marine and Cargo Surveys and Maritime
Navigation. It was by virtue of his mastery in both the french and
English
languages
that earned him a Diploma in the Execution of Maritime Law in Africa from the
prestigious ecole de securite publique in NINGBO- CHINA. He runs the law firms
maritime law practice with a special focus on ship registration, ship arrests,
marine cargo claims, marine insurance and general advisory on the CEMAC
sub-regional Maritime Code compliance.
Mrs. Esther Makon Dominique(Associate) and holds the

In 2009 she worked at SOCIETE CAMI TOYOTA Assistant to the
head of legal, litigations department in of recovery of commercial debt and in
2011 she Joined Bame Kang & Co and takes care of the firm`s
commercial debt recovery, bankruptcy, and French civil law related areas of
practice.
Mr. Nelson Mbu(Collaborator) erstwhile senior staff and Specialist
Rule of Law developer UNDP-LIBERIA. Co-Founder and Senior Legal Advisor,
Human Dimensions Limbe, SWP, Cameroon. Nelson is a 44year old Cameroonian
and holder of Bachelors of Laws (University of Yaounde in 1990) and Masters
degree in Law from the University of Lund, Sweden, with over 17 years
working/teaching experience in the areas of justice, peace and security in
Cameroon, Rwanda, Congo, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Southern Sudan, Darfur and Liberia
within various United Nations funded programs and agencies including the United
Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Office of the High Commissioner for
Human Rights (OHCHR), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
(UNHCR), and the UN Department for Peace Keeping Operations (DPKO)Prior to
joining the United Nations System, I taught Law at the National University of
Rwanda ((1996-1999). Nelson has demonstrated and continue to exhibit excellent
professional and ethical abilities on broad ranges of complex justice, rule of
law, peace and security issues from both African and international
perspectives. and security in Africa, both common law and civil law
traditions. Shortly before commencing collaboration with the Bame Kang & Co
law firm 2010 as provider of humans rights and good governances related
counselling, Nelson served as a Programme Specialist on Justice and Security
with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Liberia since 2009,
where he was in charge of providing strong technical, advisory and programmatic
support to the Justice and Security team in programme development and
implementation.
Mr. Elvis Awantang(Paralegal) is a Cameroonian and graduate of the Netmetric Institute of Hyderabad in
India with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications and certifications in
CCNP, experiences in CISCO ROUTERS, configuration maintenance and
